Welcome to From Mama. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the From Mama mobile application and related services (the "Service") operated by From Mama LLC ("we", "our", or "us").
By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
By using From Mama, you represent that:
- You are an adult
- You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
2. Your Account
You may create an account using:
- Google Sign-In
- Sign in with Apple
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your account
- All activity under your account
You agree not to:
- Share your account with others
- Impersonate another person
3. Subscriptions and Billing
Billing
- Subscriptions are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play via RevenueCat
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled
Cancellation
- You can cancel at any time through your app store account settings
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period
Refunds
- All payments are handled by Apple or Google
- Refunds are subject to their respective policies
We do not directly issue refunds.
4. Your Content
You retain ownership of all content you create, including:
- Letters
- Photos
- Videos
- Audio recordings
License to Us
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to:
- Store your content
- Display it to you
- Process it to operate the Service (including AI features)
We do not use your content for advertising or sell it.
5. Village Feature (Shared Contributions)
From Mama includes a "village" feature that allows users to contribute content to each other's children.
By using this feature:
- You choose who to invite and accept
- You understand that invited users can submit content related to your children
Restrictions:
- You may not use this feature to harass, abuse, or harm others
- You may not upload content you do not have the right to share
We are not responsible for content created by other users.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Upload illegal, abusive, or harmful content
- Infringe on the rights of others
- Attempt to access other users' private content
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service
We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
7. AI Features
From Mama uses AI systems (including models from Anthropic) to provide features such as:
- Transcription cleanup
- Content formatting
- Personalized reflections
These features are provided "as-is" and may not always be accurate.
You are responsible for reviewing any AI-generated content.
8. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
9. Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time:
- Within the app
- At: https://frommama.com/account-deletion
We may suspend or terminate accounts if:
- These Terms are violated
- The Service is misused
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available."
We do not guarantee:
- That the Service will be uninterrupted
- That content will never be lost
- That all features will function without error
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
From Mama LLC will not be liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Loss of data, content, or memories
- Damages arising from user-generated content
Our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid to us in the past 12 months.
12. Changes to the Service
We may modify or discontinue parts of the Service at any time.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
Continued use of the Service means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles.
