From Mama LLC ("we", "our", or "us") operates a mobile application and related services (the "Service") that allow users to create, store, and manage personal letters, including text, photos, videos, and audio content.

1. Information We Collect
a. Account Information
When you create an account using Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple, we receive:
- Your name (if provided by the provider)
- Your email address
- A unique account identifier
We also ask what you would like to be called within the app.
b. User-Provided Information
You may voluntarily provide:
- Names of your children (user-defined and not verified)
- Optional dates of birth
- Letters and journal entries
- Photos, videos, and audio recordings
This content is private by default.
c. Shared Content ("Village" Feature)
If you choose to use the "village" feature:
- You may invite other users via a unique token
- If both users agree, they can contribute letters for each other's children
Access rules:
- A parent can view content written for their own children
- Contributors cannot access private letters written by other parents for their own children
You control whether to enable or participate in this feature.
d. Payment Information
Subscriptions and payments are processed via:
- RevenueCat
- Apple App Store / Google Play billing systems
We do not store full payment card details.
e. Technical Data
We collect limited technical data for app reliability:
- Device type and operating system
- App version
- Crash and error logs via Sentry
We also use PostHog to collect limited product analytics, such as screens viewed, onboarding steps, button taps, app lifecycle events, app version, device type, and general usage patterns.
PostHog session replays help us understand where users get stuck in the app. We do not record your memories in session replays. Replays may show product interactions like screens viewed, navigation, and button taps, but private letters, text entries, photos, videos, audio recordings, transcripts, child details, and Village content are excluded or masked before replay data is sent to PostHog.
f. AI-Processed Data
Some content you provide may be processed using AI and speech-to-text systems from providers such as Anthropic and Deepgram for features such as:
- Voice transcription
- Transcription cleanup
- Content formatting
- Personalized reflections and recommendations
We send only the data necessary to provide these features.
g. Advertising and Conversion Measurement Data
We use tools such as Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, Google Ads, and Google Analytics for conversion tracking and campaign measurement. These tools may collect limited technical and event information, such as device and browser information, referral source, website or app activity, and subscription or purchase conversion events.
We do not send your letters, journal entries, photos, videos, audio recordings, transcripts, child names, child birthdates, or Village content to advertising platforms.
2. How We Use Information
We use your information to:
- Create and manage your account
- Store and display your content
- Enable subscription functionality
- Provide AI-powered features
- Improve app reliability and performance
- Provide customer support
- Understand how users move through onboarding and core app flows
- Measure app and website conversion events
- Improve product experience without using private memory content for ads
- (In the future) send account-related or product-related communications
We may send you product updates, offers, and promotional communications, including emails encouraging trial users who cancel to resubscribe. You can unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time.
We do not sell your personal data.
We do not sell your private memory content, and we do not use letters, media, transcripts, child information, or Village content for advertising.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored in the United States using:
- Google Cloud Platform
- Neon (PostgreSQL database)
We implement reasonable safeguards to protect your data.
4. Data Retention
We retain your data while your account is active.
When you delete your account:
- Your content and personal data are deleted or anonymized within a reasonable timeframe
- Limited backups may persist temporarily

Upon deletion:
- Your account and associated content are permanently removed, subject to limited backup retention
6. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your data.
We may share data only with:
- Service providers required to operate the app (hosting, payments, AI processing, error monitoring, product analytics, and conversion measurement)
- Legal authorities if required by law
We do not share private memory content, including letters, media, transcripts, child information, or Village content, with advertising platforms.
7. Children's Privacy
From Mama is intended for use by adults.
Users may upload content related to children (such as names, images, or memories). We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children.

Our Service is available globally, but all data is processed in the United States.
